ENABLE/DISABLE CHANGING SCREENSAVER IN WIN 7

You can lock the current screensaver so that standard or guest users of your PC cannot change the screensaver set by you. Follow the below steps to disable changing screensaver in your Windows 7 or Windows Vista PC.
We will be using Group Policy Editor tool to do this tweak. Hence this method doesn’t apply for Windows Home Editions which doesn’t have access to Group Policy Editor.

1. Type “gpedit.msc” in Start Menu search box and hit Enter.
2. Local Group Policy Editor will be launched. In the left pane of Local Group Policy Editor, navigate to User Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Control Panel –> Personalization.
3. In the right pane, double-click on ‘Prevent changing Screen saver’ item.

4. Select ‘Enabled’ radio button and click OK.
You are done. Changing screensaver is now disabled.
